Fine, WordPress don’t update. \u00a0Dreamhost can just cut me off anytime they please for the sake of “security issues.” \u00a0I have got plenty of ideas for full articles right now, but tonight I just have a few short comments on a wide variety of subjects, and that is what you will get for now.<\/p>\n

-Folk wisdom states (to paraphrase), “A man will pay twice as much for something, because he needs it. \u00a0A woman will buy something she does not need, because it is on sale for half price.” \u00a0Folk wisdom has never been on slickdeals.net<\/a>.<\/p>\n

-According to the many, many comments I must moderate from my fans in Russia, I have “the cooolest domain name”!<\/p>\n

-If you are going to cast Jeremy Irons in a movie, for god sakes you better write some awesome dialogue for him. \u00a0Here is looking at you Appaloosa<\/em>.<\/p>\n

–Street Fighter IV<\/em>\u00a0makes me sad. \u00a0Street Figher Alpha 3<\/em>\u00a0came out over a decade ago, and is tied (with Guilty Gear XX<\/em>) for my favorite 2d fighting game. \u00a0I thought that maybe it was just nostalgia building the game up, but I just checked the Wikipedia page for the game, and no, SFA3<\/em>\u00a0rocked. \u00a0Capcom: \u00a0What the hell? \u00a0Why did you have to make the single-player AI fundamentally broken? \u00a0And no serious fighting game fan can stand to play online. \u00a0Shinku-ha–<disconnect>.<\/p>\n

-The demos for Watchmen: \u00a0The End is Nigh<\/em>\u00a0and Wanted: \u00a0Hands of Fate<\/em>\u00a0had a couple things in common. \u00a0First, they are solid in the mechanics of their respective genres. \u00a0Second, neither seem like they will be able to mix the gameplay up enough to warrant a purchase. \u00a0That seems to be the conclusion of most reviewers for the Watchmen<\/em>\u00a0game. \u00a0We will see how things pan out for the Wanted<\/em> game.<\/p>\n

–Command & Conquer: \u00a0Red Alert 3<\/em>\u00a0for $10<\/a> is good. \u00a0The game has not broken any fresh ground for me as of yet, but it does certainly kick the WTF\/cheese factor a few notches. \u00a0If the game makes more of an impression, I might write up a review for it.<\/p>\n

-I am going to trade in Street Fighter IV<\/em>\u00a0for Resident Evil 5<\/em>\u00a0on launch day (tomorrow, as of this writing). \u00a0This does not say so much about how excited I am about RE5<\/em>\u00a0as how little I think of SFIV <\/em>(see above). \u00a0I finally got through the first level of the demo on my third try. \u00a0Not a good game to play drunk.<\/p>\n

–Watchmen<\/em>\u00a0had an awesome soundtrack, though it does not hit quite as hard when listened to outside of the context of the film.<\/p>\n

-Yes, they tweaked the ending, but in a way that absolutely made sense given the running time of the film. \u00a0Lower your Zack Snyder effigies. \u00a0The man did good by the fanboys, though I do think it will cost him at the box office.<\/p>\n

-Malin Akerman (Silk Specter) is a fox.<\/p>\n

-Do you think mouse and keyboard shooters are not a skill? \u00a0Try going a few years only playing console shooters (maybe with a tactical PC shooter, like Rainbow Six Vegas 2<\/em>, thrown in at times) and trying to play Team Fortress 2<\/em>\u00a0on the PC. \u00a0Gah, I was pathetic.<\/p>\n

–Final Fantasy Tactics<\/em>: \u00a0A Tactical RPG with a wonderfully deep class system and gameplay, a smart, intriguing storyline, and crappy graphics. \u00a0Disgaea 1 and 2<\/em>: \u00a0TRPGs with even better classes and gameplay, irritatingly childish storylines, tons of content…and crappy graphics. \u00a0See where I am going with this?<\/p>\n

-Mixed drinks are like power-leveling for your alcohol tolerance level. \u00a0Say goodbye to being a cheap date. \u00a0I think it’s time for a refill.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
